Breony Allen is an Australian qualified barrister and solicitor who spent the first years of her career advising and defending the State of Western Australia at the State Solicitor’s Office. During this time, she also worked as a Part-time Legal Researcher at the Law Reform Commission of Western Australia, while teaching Constitutional Law at the University of Western Australia. In recognition of her efforts, Breony was awarded the Western Australian Law Society’s Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2011.
Last year, Breony completed the Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Oxford, based at Christ Church. While at Oxford, Breony was one of the Associate Editors of the Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal.
Breony now works at the Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London, where she is the Legal Researcher for Distinguished Fellows and Visiting Professors, Lord Judge and Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers.
